It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Sue Burnett of Utica, Michigan, born in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Dorothy Sue's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Dorothy Sue has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant Helton and Nellie Helton; her husband Garrett Franklin; and her siblings, Robert Helton, Edith Ball and Sidney Helton.
She is survived by: her children, Regina Lockwood, Joy Hurst (Jeff) and Lonnie Burnett.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen Park Chapel of Voran Funeral Home (5900 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Voran Funeral Home - Allen Park Chapel (5900 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101).
