With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Spano of Utica, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on June 14, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Catherine shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Catherine farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Oliva and Rose Oliva; her husband Sam; her sons, Frank (Dorothy) and Gary; and her siblings, Sam Oliva and Mary Kopacki.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Anthony Cortese (Gretchen), Roseann Sparbeck (Jeff), Kathleen Scroggie (Derek), Michele Gage (Matt), John Kopacki (Monica) and Rose Jackson (Scott); and her sister Julie Cortese.
