It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Odile J. Karle (Unionville, Michigan), born in La Rochelle, Poitou-Charentes, who passed away on December 19, 2019, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Smith and Jacqueline Smith (Augereau); her husband Frank W. Karle II; her daughters, Carol Shaltonis (Stephen) of Sebewaing and Jackie Palmer (Mike) of Sebewaing; her grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Caylee, Shanda and Chance; her siblings, Carl Smith, Veckie Smith-Lemanski, Marc Smith, Monique Bieszke and Michael Smith (Karen); her son Frank III; and her sister-in-law Annmarie Murray. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
