He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo Sting and Anna Sting (Muelrath); and his brother-in-law Vern Reinbold. He is survived by: his wife Donna J. Seibel; his sons, Matthew Sting (Michelle) of Unionville and Grant Sting (Heather) of Unionville; his grandchildren, Brianna Sting-Vargas (Mateo), Brady Sting, Brittney Sting, Jonathon Harder, Catarina Sting and Sampson Sting; and his siblings, Thomas Sting (Janice) and Joanne Reinbold. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Valley Lutheran High School or Christ the King Lutheran School.
