She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Patrick Riley and Olive Riley (Jacobson); her father-in-law Norman Schroeder; her husband Edward Spannagel; her children, Amy McBrayer (JD), Marsha Spannagel and Andrew Spannagel (Andrea); her grandchildren, Kiersten Gascho (Trent), Sean and Braeden McBrayer; her great grandchild Luke Edward Gascho; and her sisters, Sharon Krauss (Rolly), Chris Schroeder (Cissy), Julie Schroeder, Susan Cornelius (Chris) and Linda Schroeder. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial donation may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church or Thumb Blue Water Youth for Christ.
