It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Chandler of Union, Michigan, born in Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on September 19, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Barbara is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Barbara's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George R. Shepherd and Ruby C. Shepherd (Stump); and her husband Charles C. Chandler, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Chandler of Edwardsburg, MI, Peggy Jo Hall (Bruce) of Cassopolis, MI, Stanley Chandler of Cassopolis, MI and Charles Chandler III of Union, MI. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel Hill Missionary Church (14525 Chapel Hill St, Union, MI 49130). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to Cass County Cancer Services or to Elara Hospice.
