He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Hanson and Lillian Hanson (Velliquette); his wife Betty Weller; and his brothers, Larry, Phil and Milton "Jim" Hanson.
He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Soncrant (Stephen) of Belleville, Virginia "Jenny" Avery of Otsego and Michael W. Hanson of Union City; his grandchildren, Lori Schlichting (Kurt), Christy Damon (Ed), Josiah Soncrant, Jonathan Soncrant, Holly Ash (Don), Ryan Rarick (Rebekah), Andrew Rarick, Micheala Ray (Joe), Danielle Nichols (Nate) and Michael B. Hanson; and his siblings, Michael Neal Hanson of Sherwood, Norman Hanson of Columbus, OH, Alan Hanson of Union City and Karen Jahnke of Ypsilanti. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great granddaughters.
