It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita May Salyer of Union City, Michigan, who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Chester "Chet" Salyer; her parents, Howard K. Johnson and Irene Johnson; and her brothers, Melvin Johnson and Frank Johnson.
She is survived by: her brother Hal Johnson of Coldwater; and her children, Cathy Bohacz (Gary) of Bronson, Howard Salyer (Alex McNall) of Union City, Judy Wadley (Randy) of Union City, Dean Salyer (Kay) of White Pigeon and Don Salyer of Oshtemo. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions in Rita's name be made to Union City Senior Center, c/o the Village of Union City, 101 S. Broadway Street, Union City, MI 49094 or to Branch County Meals on Wheels, c/o Community Action Agency, 285 N. Michigan Avenue, Coldwater, MI 49036.
