With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Swartout of Union City, Michigan, born in Coldwater, Michigan, who passed away on September 1, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Stryker and Kathryn Stryker (Smith); her spouse Lee C. Swartout; her brother Raymond Stryker; and her grandson Max M. Walter.
She is survived by: her children, Pattie Walter (Philip) of Union City, Nancy Hadden (Leh) of Burlington and Mickel Swartout of Union City; her grandchildren, Jessica Walter (Jesse Naul) of Colorado Springs, CO, Sean Walter (Ashley) of Springfield, OH, Scott Walter of Kalamazoo, Erica Magers, MD (Luke) of DeWitt, Brandi Ramsey (Anthony, Jr.) of Union City and Dorian Swartout (Esther) of Bluffdale, UT; her great grandchildren, Maxwell Walter of Springfield, OH, Gannon Imhof of Burlington, Reigan Magers, Evan Magers of DeWitt, Quinton Ramsey, Zarah Ramsey, Anthony Ramsey III of Union City and Jameson Swartout of Bluffdale, UT; her sisters, Vonda Bowerman (Richard) of Bronson, Shirley Harder of Three Rivers and Jeanette Mercer of White Pigeon; her siblings-in-law, Treva Swartout of Coldwater, Paul Swartout of Union City and Leslie Knapp of Coldwater; and also Rosie Inman of Union City.
