She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Jerome and Pearl Imogene Houck (Hawkins); and her siblings, Carlton E. Houck, Richard L. Houck, Leonard E. Houck, Tammy S. Houck and Margaret L. Gaertner.
She is survived by: her former husband Peter Lawrence Stein; her children, Ruth Ann Nichols (Ronald) of Twining and David Michael Stein (Mary) of Oscoda; and her siblings, Arnold J. Houck, Sr. of Twining, Dennis Marvin Houck (Tracy) of Yakima, Washington, Debbie Yvonne Houck of Sedona and Kathy Joan Brenske (Brad) of Port Huron. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
