He was predeceased by: his parents, Orley Johnston and Josephine Anna Johnston (Thompson); his wife Lorraine Johnston (Prelesnik); and his son Owen "Keith" Johnston. He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Johnston (Melissa) of Muskegon, Robin Holmes (Walter) of Tustin, Ronald Johnston of Muskegon and Orley "Chuck" Johnston (Roxanne) of Alabama; his granddaughters, Lorraine, Julia Melvin (Robert) and Monica Johnston of Tustin; and his great grandchildren, Owen, Davyon Johnston and Kadence Burns. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
