He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nichols and Ester Nichols (Mangelson); his wife Shirley Nichols; his brothers, Clayton and Joe Nichols; his grandson Robert Nichols; and his son-in-law Duane Hendrixon.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Nichols (Jeanenne) and Sally Hendrixon; his grandchildren, Steve Nichols (Joni), Matthew Crain, Kara VanderWeele (Nick), Kelly Weiler (Doug), Jeffrey Hendrixon and David Hendrixon; and his great grandchildren, Ilana, Aiden, Kolten, Kalia, Abram, Kendyl, Logann, Lawson and Evelyn.
Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 concerning social distancing, a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
