He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Emmanuel and Elida Nelson; his brother Elmer "Speedy" Nelson; and his spouse Iliene J. Miller. He is survived by: his sons, Jerry Nelson (Chris Pscodna-Nelson) of Tustin, Mike Nelson (Brenda) of Tustin, Marv Nelson (Roberta) of Tustin, Steve Nelson (Cindy) of Tustin and Bob Nelson (Brenda) of Tustin; his grandchildren, Lindsay Sandelius (Justin), Christie Kanouse (Zane), Chelsea Sykes (Jeffrey), Kassy Wallace (Brendan), Miranda Hodges (Corey), Skyler Nelson (Lizzie), Sheree Skinner (Austin) and Connor Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Whyitt Sandelius, Emmett Nelson Burns, Jackson Sykes, Trace Wallace, Graham, Rosalie Hodges and Miles Skinner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Luther Lions Club, an organization that Cobb was a long-time member of.
