He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Holmes and Lillian Holmes (Langworthy); his wife Dorothy Holmes; his son Tony Holmes; his granddaughter Haley Baldinger; his sons-in-law, Kelly Matthews and Roger Clark; and his siblings, Merna, Aletha, Wendell, Wilda, Doyle, Doris, Alvin, Sherman and Vesta.
He is survived by: his children, Jolaine Clark, Janet Sturdavant (Bruce), Eldena Sparks (Timothy), Lynnette Nelson (Mark), Lori Matthews (Bill Baldinger), Barbara Nichols (David), Julie Zull (Scott), Michael Holmes (Debra), Randy Holmes (Mary), Mark Holmes (Kelly), Paul Holmes (Pamela) and Douglas Holmes; his daughter-in-law Lori Holmes; his brother-in-law Pep Chilcote; and his sister Shirley Moffit. He is also survived by 44 grandchildren and their spouses; 84 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
