She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Shafer and Anna Shafer (Hastings); her husband Daniel Hoagland; and her brother Earl "Bud" Shafer. She is survived by: her children, Terri Hoaglund of Reed City and Paul Hoaglund (Tracy) of Tustin; her grandchildren, Jessica Grzybowski (Daniel) of Cadillac and Michael Hoaglund of Tustin; and her great grandchildren, Raegan and Oliver Grzybowski.
