He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Marie Tompsett and Charles Tompsett; his stepmother Gay Tompsett; and his siblings, Raymond Tompsett, Dorothy Rowland and Margaret Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Tompsett of Trufant; his children, Sherry, Rodney Snyder of Stanton, David, Nancy Tompsett of Higgins Lake, Pat, Chris Ehlert of Stanton, Jeff and Julie Tompsett of Trufant; his sister Charlotte Peck of Muskegon; and his brothers-in-law, Robert, Charlene Clements, Phillip and Shirley Clements.
