He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Day and Joyce Day (Bush). He is survived by: his wife Joann; his stepchildren, Candy Smith (Steve) and Steve Basney (Keisha); his stepgrandchildren, Caleb Basney, Keig, Sam, Dylan and Finn Smith; his brothers, Jeff Day (Donna) and Steve Day (Lisa); his nephews, Jeremy Day (Tracy), Jason Day (Audrey), Jake Day and Alex Day (Lindsay); his niece Lauryn Bagwell (Robert); and his great-niece Jayva.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Ray Booth American Legion Post 101, Greenville or the Lester Sitts VFW Post 5065, Sheridan.
