He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmour Barbeau and Marguerite Barbeau; his stepmother Abigail; and his former wife Cecile. He is survived by: his daughters, Joanne Caselli (Richard), Lucie Barber (Thomas), Michele Ritter and Sandra DePuys (Steven); his stepdaughter Cheryl Barth (David); his grandchildren, Brittany Caselli, Nicole Hong (Jeremy), Christopher Caselli, Sarah Marsoupian (Andrew), Kyle Ritter (Jessica), Dean Ritter (Maria), Alaina DePuys, Courtney DePuys, Luke DePuys, Catherine Wheatley (Paul) and Charlotte Burmeister (Will); his great grandchildren, Roman Marsoupian, Aria Marsoupian, Nolan Ritter, Riley Ritter, Sydney Hong, Kane Ritter, Clara Burmeister, Millie Burmeister, Roland Burmeister and Isla Wheatley; his siblings, Meryle Barbeau, Thelma Leonard, Laurette Delorme, Denis Barbeau (Pauline), Marcel Barbeau and Corinne LeClerc; and his wife Marguerite Turcotte.

During the pandemic isolation of 2020 he was gifted an iPad and at the age of 94 became proficient at using it as a connection to the outside world.
