He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth; his children, Ernie (Tracy), Mark (Colleen), Greg (Kim) and Kristen (Roger); his grandchildren, Shannon, Molly (Patrick), Bryce, Tommy, Mason, Lily, Rory and Nicholas; and his siblings, Darlene Kowalski (Jim) and John Everly (Mary Sue).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Folds of Honor.
