It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell R. Filips of Troy, Michigan, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Emily Smart, Jenny Ziemczyk, Olga Blackman, Joann Stoyka and Alex Filips (Al).

He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Poopsie); his children, Debbie Coffey (Cliff), Kim, Keith, Kurt (Adria), Terry and Gordy Filips; and his grandchildren, Charlie, Caroline, Karli and Andy.
