He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard J. McCarthy and Mable McCarthy; his significant other Denise; his children, Richard T. McCarthy (Ashley) and Danielle Hutchinson (Eric); his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Makayla, Bella, Cameron, Sonny, Rena, Henry, Remi, Finley, Reagan and Parker; his mother-in-law Esther Haddad; and his sister-in-law Charlene Abbate (Joe). He was also cherished by sisters, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church (48115 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
