He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent George (Frances Chu Lin); his grandfather Wah Hoon; his brother Sam; his uncle Pershing; and his wife Marilyn.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sanctuary Church (300 Willits St, Birmingham, MI 48009). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“I am so sorry to hear of the death of Paul Chu LIn. I offer my condolences to his entire family. Paul was a special individual, a dedicated, caring architect. I joined GBA in 1983. His design legacy was well known. I owe Paul much gratitude. Paul opened the door to teach a design studio at LTU's College of Architecture, then the Interim Deanship and then Director of the University of Illinois School of Architecture in Champaign. A design life with GBA and academic career. Thank you, Paul.”
