He is survived by: his spouse Seham; his children, George Basta (Lisa) and Mariana Basta Ludeman (Kyle); his grandchildren, Jude, Aubrey, Jacob, Zachary and Michael; his siblings, Isis Eklaydyous, Marina Basta Farouk (Raphael), Mary Basta and Makarious Basta; and his nieces and nephews, Maha Hanna (Nabil), Souzan Yousif (Saeed), Andrew Hanna, Samir Eklaydyous (Jackie), Elizabeth Ekladyous (John Bayles), Albert Eklaydyous, Mary Eklaydyous, Osama Masri, Vivian Masri and Dena Masri.
A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary & St. Philopater Coptic Church (3615 Livernois Rd, Troy, MI 48083).
