With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis Alan Marckel (Troy, Michigan), born in Toledo, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 8, 2024 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Marckel and Jo Anne Marckel; his father-in-law Eldon Seavolt; and his nephews, Greg and Jake.

He is survived by: his wife Lori; his sons, Justin Marckel (Andrea) and Nick Marckel (Katie Grace); his grandchildren, Emerson, Devin and Henry; his siblings, Debbie Mangolt (Randy), Diane Smith (Philip), David Marckel (Linda) and Donna Garrett (Dave); his mother-in-law Joan Seavolt; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Schneider (Dennis) and Robert Seavolt (Tammy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Dennis to the Leukemia Society or Karmanos Cancer Institute.
