It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles William Gumbel (Troy, Michigan), who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gumbel and Edith Gumbel; his son Matthew (Colleen); and his grandchild Gracelyn. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Christina and David (Maureen); his grandchildren, Brendan, Jacob, Ava, Ryan and Cara; his siblings, John (Joan), Karen Walker (Roger), Donna Balasia (late Steve), David (Becky), Nancy Hansen (Gary), Jean Sumner (Len) and Robert (Alison); and his brother-in-law John Morad (Marcia). He is also survived by nephews, great-nieces and nephews, close cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons (2600 Crooks Rd, Troy, MI 48084). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (2600 Crooks Rd, Troy, MI 48084). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 10:30 AM at the Christ Our Light! Catholic Church (3077 Glouchester Dr, Troy, MI 48084).
