He was predeceased by: his brother Thomas Kurtz; and his parents, John Kurtz and Bernice Kurtz. He is survived by: his wife Bess Kurtz; and his daughters, Barbara Baumgart (David), Jacqueline (Christian), Christine LaForce (Timothy) and Ruth Kurtz-Korowin. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
