He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Oaks and Audrey Oaks; and his brothers, Harold and David Oaks. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Joe Oaks (Brenda) and Lisa Salcedo; his grandchildren, Nicole Woodcox (Josh), Gray Lyons, Ashlee Oaks, Austin Salcedo and Alicia Salcedo; his great grandchildren, Chloe Woodcox and Ethan Woodcox; and his siblings, Lois Sturgill (Herman), Helen Shortridge, Denise Franks, Tim Oaks (Sheila) and James Oaks (Julie).
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Trenton Chapel of the Martenson Family (3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183). The military honors was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Trenton Chapel- Martenson Family (3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183).
