He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Maureen Garza-Shaw, Daniel Garza, Marlene Petraska-Tikkanen, Walter Petraska, Bruce, Alice Tamsen, Michael and Genevieve Kerekes.

He is survived by: his parents, Deborah Petraska and Dean Tamsen; his stepparents, Brad Petraska and Gloria Tamsen-Kerekes; his grandfather Robert Shaw; and his brothers, Luke Tamsen (Mackenzie) and Chad Tamsen. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews and Nieces.

Nicholas gave the gift of life through organ and/or tissue donation.
