She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Wichern and Twila Wichern; her husband John Maple; and her sisters, Barbara Carioti and Jacquelyn Wichern.
She is survived by: her children, Christopher Maple (Karen Jarrett), Jennifer Joecken (Bill) and Melanie Buchan (Daniel); her grandchildren, Meghan Bogda (Christopher), Sarah Baber (James), Daniel, Nathan, Reece Buchan and Alec Farone; her great grandchildren, Eli Bogda, Henry, Katelyn and Anna Baber; and her pet Tootsie.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Joanne's memory to the Michigan Humane Society.
