He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Gonyea and Florence Gonyea (Meyer); his son Glenn Gonyea Jr.; his brother Floyd; his siblings-in-law, Lourdes Gonyea and James Beck; his brother Calvin Gonyea; his siblings-in-law, Starlene Gonyea and Garry Little; his niece Glenda Wessel; his nephew Scott Gonyea; and his stepson Arnel Surat.
He is survived by: his wife Veronica Villanueva; his children, Thomas Gonyea (Dian), Dawn Coultes (Jon) and Amber Eramo (Todd); his stepchildren, Vener Surat, Carlota Surat, Carlver Surat and Virginia Surat; and his siblings, Allen Gonyea, Jane Little, Theresa Musgrove (Andy), Verna Mae Gonyea, Nancy Griffiths (Lee) and Gerald Gonyea (Ellen). He is also survived by four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ford Chapel-Martenson Family (23620 Huron River Dr, Rockwood, MI 48173). A rosary was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Saint Mary Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church (32467 Church St, Rockwood, MI 48173). A Mass was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
