She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Marion Coates (Fleming); her daughters, Barbara Grooms (Robert MacGregor) and Brenda (Randall Giles); her grandsons, Eric Giles, Patrick Giles (Allyson) and Trevor Giles; her great grandchildren, Lilly, Eric Jr., Jackson and Lola Giles; her siblings, Bill Coates (Nancy), Phyllis Sarazin (Edwin) and Martha Debruhl (Michael); her husband Glen Grooms; and her sister Linda Moruzzi. She was also cherished by her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family (3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Hope Cemetery (18303 Allen Rd, Brownstown Charter Twp, MI 48193).
