With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Arne Shield of Traverse City, Michigan, who passed away on December 6, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sven Arne and Kathleen "Katie" Shield (Morse); his sister Sandy Brake; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Carden and Joe Vinson.
He is survived by: his wife Candace (Champion); his son Abraham Shield (Rachel); his grandchildren, Emma, Ahnya and Astrid Shield; his sisters, Betty Carden and Barbara D. Vinson Shield; and his brother-in-law Jim Brake (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends.
