We bid farewell to Thomas Shafer of Traverse City, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 15, 2024 at the age of 82. Thomas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Thomas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Shafer and Bertha Shafer (Bott). He is survived by: his children, Ken and Jeanne Nesbitt (Lawrence); his granddaughters, Lily, Anna Nesbitt and Emma Shafer; and his sister Constance Brown.
