With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Carter of Traverse City, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell W. Alles and Pearl E. Alles; her husband Ford Rodman Carter III; her grandson Anthony Scaglione; her siblings, Virginia, Russell and Judith; and her son-in-law William Scaglione.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Blaire Scaglione, Jane Marie Rice, Hunter Thompson Carter (Cesar Augusto Zapata), Alleson Christie Hamelin (Paul Laurent) and Jonathan Andrew Carter; her sister Nancy O'Hara; her grandchildren, Dominic Scaglione, Savanah Grace Lisbeth Hamelin, Ford Walker Carter, Cole Andrew Carter, Jenna Belle Carter, Amanda Sauls and Jarrett Rice; and her great grandchildren, Baylor, Braylen Rice and Fischer Sauls.
Memorial donations may be directed towards St Jude's Children's Hospital, or the Alzheimer's Association.
