He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Akey and Irene Akey (Tatch); and his sister Laura Jean. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Akey (Michelle) and Michelle Pearson; his grandchildren, Darian Shand (Tory), Soleil, Cierra, Sepp and Bode; his brother Neil Akey (Roberta); and his close friend Brian Donner.
