It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonia Jean Olson in Traverse City, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas "Bud" G. H. Cocking and Elizabeth "Betty" Zitterkoph Cocking of Women's Club. She is survived by: her husband Wally; her children, Eric Olson (Kim) and Elizabeth Young-DuFort (Kevin); and her grandchildren, Spencer Olson (Mary), Adam Olson (Brooke), Rachel Young and Catherine Young. She is also survived by friends and her loving family.
Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Michigan Chapter, Norther Michigan Office or the Cherryland Humane Society.
