Senator George McManus Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Senator George McManus (Traverse City, Michigan), who passed away on June 21, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. McManus Sr. and Frieda Anna Fromholz; his wife Clara Belle Kratochvil; his daughter Rosemary; his grandson Matthew McManus; his son-in-law Aminmohamed Nurmohamed; his siblings, Antoinette Lints, Frank and Pat McManus; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Lints, Roger Thompson, Dick, Charlie Kratochvil, Bob Milner, Ab Wilson, Eileen Milner, Jean Kratochvil and Naomi Benton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Art McManus (Judy), Mike McManus (Janet) and Frieda Thompson; his siblings-in-law, Leona, Gloria McManus, Luella Wilson, Janet Chouinard and Jerry Benton; and his children, Lisa Saints (Stuart), Molly Agostinelli (Nick), Peggy Egelus (Rick), Kate, Kerry Canellos (Jamie), George McManus (Laurie), John McManus (Michelle), Bridget Popp (Ron) and Matthew McManus. He is also survived by 9 children, were blessed with 23 grandchildren, 48 (and counting) great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, 22 grandchildren, nearly 50 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
