It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Johnson Mitchell (Traverse City, Michigan), born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Mitchell and James L. Mitchell; and his siblings, James L Mitchell and Katherine "Kitty" Hagen (Karen Olson Mitchell). He is survived by: his wife Karen Olson; his children, Linda Mitchell Sommerville (Larry), Samuel J. Mitchell, Jr. (Beth) and Michael S. Mitchell (Karen); his grandchildren, Mitch Sommerville, Katie Koronkowski (Aaron), Karly Mitchell Hartwell (Andrew), Maddie Mitchell, Abby Mitchell, Alex Mitchell and Andres Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Rose Koronkowski and Elyse Rae Koronkowski. He is also survived by many loving in laws, nieces, and nephews.
