It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Hart Neihardt Sr. of Traverse City, Michigan, who passed away on November 23, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Neihardt (Emmet); his wife Maxine A. Lambert; his son Thomas Neihardt; and his siblings, Barbara Husk, Samuel Neihardt, Carol Neihardt, Joanne Kennedy, Jean Gassel, Fredrick Neihardt, Donald Neihardt (Glenn) and Gretchen Peck.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Neihardt, Jr. (Linda), Michael Neihardt (Lynette), Christopher Neihardt (Margaret) and Deborah Burley (Ed); his grandchildren, Rodney (Megan), Alison, Brian, Brice (Sarah), Andrea (Eric), Erin (Chris), Matthew (Marissa), Richard H. III, Devin and Christine (Patrick); and his great grandchildren, Madison, Ava and Alexander.
