With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Ann Scannell of Traverse City, Michigan, born in West Branch, Michigan, who passed away on August 19, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Jeremiah and Alvena Louise O'Connor (Brindley); and her siblings, Maurice O'Connor, Mary Dikos and Thomas O'Connor.
She is survived by: her husband John Phillip Ott, Sr.; her former husband Robert Joseph Scannell; her children, Daniel Ott, John Ott Jr. (Mary), Thomas Ott (Patricia), Anne Marie Scannell, Peter Scannell (Laurie) and Lisa Scannell; her grandchildren, Morgan Foley (Ott), Ellen Filippi (Ott), Conor Ott, Melissa, Sophia, Paul Ott, Christoper, Jake DeKoker, Ryan, Elizabeth Scannell, Alec, Joseph, Alaina and Keelie Scholhamer; her great grandchildren, Rory, Ben Foley and Charlotte Filippi; and her sisters, Theresa Clark, Frances O'Connor, Ann Gulick (Fred), Phyllis O'Connor (Tim Crowner) and Kathleen DeGange (Robert).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Autism Research Institute (autism.org) and Muscular Dystrophy Association (mda.org).
