We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Margaret Jane Mackey of Traverse City, Michigan. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Zeffero and Molly Zeffero (Fehrenbach); her sons, Jack Joseph Mackey, Edward James Mackey and Jerry Lee Mackey; her grandson Tyler Mackey; and her great grandchild Quinn Barrett.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Poling (Jim) of Traverse City, Anne Schultz (Dan) of Alabama, Linda Fisk (Keith) of South Carolina, Charlie Mackey (Jan) of Traverse City and Dan Mackey (Sandy) of Traverse City; and her husband Milford Charles Mackey. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service (511 S Garfield Ave, Traverse City, MI 49686). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (1025 S Union St, Traverse City, MI 49684).
Due to Margaret's lifelong love of animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Kelly's Kritters, 4470 Norton Road, Grawn, Michigan 49637.
