She is survived by: her husband Michael Wade; her children, Adam Wade and Kelsie Van Horn (Joe); and her grandchildren, Kiersten, Jake, Michael, Riley and Rex.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local educational charity in Kathryn's name, so her legacy of learning and teaching can continue to inspire future generations.
