James Russell LaFaive Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2024, at the age of 83, James Russell LaFaive of Traverse City, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Henry and Elizabeth Jane LaFaive (Ryder); and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Cecile Guay; his children, Michael (Gessica), Donald (Tammy) and Carrie Douglass; his grandchildren, James, Thomas, Lily, Andrew, Jackson, Brady and Charlie; and his siblings, Thomas, Cecil (Kathy), Donald (Sandy) and Sharon Jermanus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in his honor may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Cherryland Humane Society.
