He is survived by: his wife Sally Jo Macken; his daughters, Julie Thiess (Gregory), Susan Emerick (William) and Nancy Shay (James); his grandchildren, Christopher Thiess (Jennifer), Carolyn Brennan (Keegan), Matthew Emerick (Taylor), Molly Emerick, Cullen Shay (Kaitlin), Aelish Shay (Trevor McGrath) and Jack Shay; and his great grandchildren, Caden, Blaine Emerick, Grace and Clara Brennan.
