We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Gene Donald Tang M. D. of Traverse City, Michigan, born in Grand Forks, North Dakota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Meta Højbjerg and Arne Tang; his sister Hilma Tang Pedersen; his former wife Jean Seemann of Grand Forks; his son Steven Tang; and his sons-in-law, David Miller and Paul Rosenthal.
He is survived by: his former wife Alice Tang; his children, Mary Tang (Jim Mackin), Barbara Rosenthal (Mark Burrows), Jennifer Tang-Anderson (Matt Anderson) and Jeffrey Tang; his grandchildren, Macy, Kieran and Norah; and his siblings, Ellen Parker (David) and Keith Tang (Sheila). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Gene's honor may be directed to Northwestern Michigan College Community Band, Munson Hospice House (Dryer Fund) or CMU public television or radio.
