He was predeceased by: his parents, James Martin and Marian May Welch (Miller); his brother Don; and his son-in-law Michael Kopnick. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Gary Welch (Tina), Melissa Kopnick, Eric Welch (Stacy) and Kelly Stites (Terry); his stepchildren, Leandra Paavo and Joshua Agruda; and his siblings, Marty Welch (Jo Ellen), Kathryn Bandstra (Steve), Linda Sines (Dan) and Jane Sugar (Mike). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
