She was predeceased by: her father George Watson Gardner; her stepfather Joseph Sullivan; and her daughter Marie Elizabeth Roos. She is survived by: her mother Peggy House Gardner; her husband Jim; her children, Catharine Buehler MD (Laura) and Matthew Roos MD; her grandson Henry Von Buehler; and her siblings, Gilbert Gardner, Claude Gardner, George Gardner (Roslyn) and Catharine Buck (Thomas). She is also survived by several nieces, one nephew, numerous cousins and two aunts.
