He was predeceased by: his father Jack Downing; his daughter Karen Asher; and his sister Nancy Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Jamie Heim (Jerry) of Traverse City and David Downing (Benita) of Boylston, MA; his son-in-law Bruce Asher of Midland, MI; his grandchildren, Karl Asher (Delainey), Michael Heim (Maeanna Stover), Kendra Asher, Michelle Langlois (Aaron), Madison Downing, Emily Downing and Mia Downing; his great grandchild Porter Asher; his grandchildren, Emmett Stover-Heim and Baby Boy Langlois; and his sister Deanna Hibbler.
