He was predeceased by: his parents, Dareld Dell and Lucille Dell (Niemi); his uncle Gene Habedank; his daughter Julie Ann; his brother-in-law Jack Follett; his father-in-law Glenn Follett; and his sister Daphne Smith.
He is survived by: his friend Karl Stegmeyer; his wife Betty Follett; his children, Michael Dell (Kathy) of Traverse City and Angela Dell of Interlochen; his grandson Zachary Dell-Smith of Ann Arbor, MI; his mother-in-law Beatrice Follett; his siblings, Carolyn Busby (Bill) of Brighton, MI, Donna Salon (Matthew) of Traverse City and Jarrel Dell (Linda) of Lake Ann, MI; his son John Martin; and his sister-in-law Nancy Follett of Traverse City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Memorial Party Dec. The military honors was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Twin Lakes Park - Gilbert Lodge (6800 N Long Lake Rd, Traverse City, MI 49685).
