With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Ernest Deutsch (Traverse City, Michigan), born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Deutsch and Erna Deutsch. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Grimm (Larry) of Fort Collins, CO, Stephen (Angela) of Fitchburg, WI, Andrew (Ildiko) of Avon, OH and Rebekah Douthitt (Clint) of Traverse City, MI.; his grandchildren, Dr. Meghan Sawyer (Jake), Timothy Deutsch, Mira Deutsch, Caitlin Deutsch, Sarah Douthitt and Daniel Douthitt; and his brother William Deutsch (Janine) of North Kingston, RI.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1003 S Maple St, Traverse City, MI 49684).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, or Trinity Lutheran Church.
